Storm Warning and Welcome to the Jungle released on April 14

 April 14th sees the release of tow new horror films from Optimum Home Entertainment on Region 2 DVD and Blu-Ray - the Australian slasher movie Storm Warning and the US 'Cannibal Holocaust' remake Welcome to the Jungle (both £15.99 rrp on DVD).
Directed by Jamie (Urban Legend) Blanks, Storm Warning went down er.. a storm last year when it screened at London's Bank Holiday FrightFest weekend, with a couple of stand-out crowd-pleasing set pieces - the one involving a broken beer bottle being a pretty uncomfortable scene for both men and women in the audience.
DVD extras for the film include a director's commentary, cast and crew interviews and a behind-the-scenes look at the make-up and SFX.
Welcome to the Jungle was directed by Jonathan (The Punisher) Hensleigh and is a sort of remake of Cannibal Holocaust, pitching four young Americans into the jungle armed only with a video camera and a couple of canoe paddles as they search for the missing Michael Rockefeller, believed to have been taken by a cannibal tribe some years previously.
DVD extras include a director's commentary, deleted scenes (with optional commentary) and a trailer.

Storm Warning - Despite local storm warnings, Rob and Pia Brewer set out for an afternoon of boating on Westernport Bay and become lost in a thick mangrove swamp at the bay’s northern end. As darkness sets in, they come ashore on French Island and – like Goldilocks - find shelter in an old farmhouse, where Rob soon discovers a shed full of hydroponic dope.
Before they can flee, the couple are besieged by the house’s three occupants – a rum-soaked psychopath named Poppy and his two homicidal adult sons, Jimmy and Brett. After Brett breaks Rob’s legs to prevent the couple’s escape, it’s left to the latter’s wife to protect them through the night against the three dope-growers who may turn out to be sorry they ever messed with Pia Brewer…
Welcome to the Jungle - In 1961, Michael Rockefeller – a member of the wealthy family and son to the future Vice-President – travelled to New Guinea on his second visit to study the remote Asmat tribe. After the boat he was travelling in capsized, Rockefeller swam for shore and was never seen again. Some say that he was cannibalized by the natives, others that he chose to live in seclusion amongst them.
Almost 50 years later, two young couples head into the wilderness in an attempt to find Rockefeller and solve the mystery once and for all. But if Michael met a grizzly end, does the same fate await them?
