Winners of our Exte competition

 Do you have a fetish for long, lustrous, cursed black hair? Do you have a “thing” for Chiaki Kuriyama, the fetching young actress who until Machine Girl was the ultimate schoolgirl fantasy figure for genre fans courtesy of striking roles in Kill Bill Volume One and Battle Royale? If the answer to both those questions was a hearty, slightly pervy “yes”, then Exte Hair Extensions (released this month by Revolver Entertainment) may possibly end up being your favourite movie of the year, and I hope you entered our competition to win one of three copies.
This bizarre, surrealistic riff on J-Horror clichés and conventions casts Kuriyama as a budding hair stylist whose salon ends up distributing deadly, living hair extensions originating from the body of a young woman victimised by organ-harvesters. Loopy scenes of CG hair sprouting from feet, open wounds and eyeballs alternate with the adventures of a scene-stealing, deranged coroner who has a severe fetish for all types of hair and spends most of the movie talking to corpses.
