Special Edition of Deadly Spawn details

 The Deadly Spawn has a special place in the hearts of the eatmybrains.com crew, a classic low-budget alien horror flick, made with enough care and attention to detail to make it a real treat. So we are obviously ecstatic about the news of a Special Edition DVD of The Deadly Spawn, due for US release on October 26th (perfect timing for Halloween) by Synapse Films.
As well as commentaries by most of the filmmakers involved in the project, the disc will also include an alternative opening, and a 'comic-style prequel with its own musical score' (whatever that is - sounds interesting though). The 1983 film is also receiving a sweet new digitally remastered 1.33:1 transfer as well. Expect a $19.95 price tag.
