Land of the Dead fansite goes live
12th Oct 04
With George Romero's Land of the Dead apparently starting it's winter shoot today (although some reports have stated an October 18th start date) in Toronto, it's perfect timing for a new fansite devoted to following the film's progress - as well as focusing on all other zombie films - to hit the Net.
Jump on over now to www.landofthedead.net you'll be able to register and follow all the Land of the Dead news as it comes in as well as take part in the online forums, and heaps more.
If you're a Romero fan (and if you're not, what are you doing on this page?) this site is one worth visiting.
More Information
George Romero's Land of the Dead features a plot whereby the zombies having taken over the world and those left alive are confined to a walled-in city that keeps out the corpse corps.
Anarchy rules the streets, with the wealthy insulated and living in fortified skyscrapers. The story revolves around a group of scavengers who must thwart an attempt to overthrow the city while the dead evolve from brainless slow-moving creatures into more advanced creatures.
Dennis Hopper has been joined in the cast list by Simon Law (Ring 2), John Leguizamo, Robert Joy (who worked with George previously on The Dark Half), and Asia Argento. There are also rumours of cameo appearances by Edgar Wright and Shaun Pegg from Shaun of the Dead fame.
