DVD Releases - WC Feb 28th 2005

 Apologies for a slightly delayed DVD release news piece this week, we got slightly caught up helping out with some filming of a new short (Tomorrow's Forecast starring James Hillier from Long Time Dead amongst others) down in Cornwall, but rest assured that normal service has now been resumed.
Only two releases this week on this side of the pond, but boy what a couple of films. Tartan Asia Extreme are back and have released both of Chan-Wook Park's recent thrillers, Old Boy and Sympathy for Mr Vengeance in stunning collector's edition boxes.
There's not too much being released in the States either, but there is the DVD debut of The Exorcist: The Beginning if you're tempted to check out Renny Harlin's knock-off attempt. Our advice - wait until Paul Schrader's version gets a release...

What more can we say about this film. It blew us away when it first appeared at Frightfest 2004, and has been one of our favourite's ever since, even making it to number one on our Top Ten Films of 2004 list. In other words, you really can't be without this great DVD.
