Flying zombies!

 Looks like the floodgates are about to open on a whole slew of zombie films...
In light of the success of the recent remake of Dawn of the Dead and unaminously favourable reviews for upcoming Shaun of the Dead, Lions Gate are in the process of fast-tracking a new zombie film to start shooting in September.
Flight of the Dead follows the story of two zombies being flown back to their homeground (er.. where? what?) after being captured. Inevitably they come back to life to cause mayhem aboard the plane. Makes a change from house / pub / shopping mall / cinema.
Gary Parker and Tom Lavangnino have written the original draft, with John Dunning and Lorenzo Ozouri on rewrite duties. No director is attached as yet.
No doubt we'll be seeing the likes of 20,000 Zombies Under the Sea, Eraserdead, Spacehunter: Adventures in the Zombie Zone and Hawk the Zombie-slayer anytime soon.

Producers Andre Link and John Dunning have previously worked on Buffalo 66 and The Daytrippers. Lions Gate release The Punisher later this year and have recently announced plans for two other Marvel with Iron Fist and Black Widow
