Is there a Day of the Dead remake on the way?

 Rumours, only rumours at the moment, but news in increasingly spreading around the Internet that Richard Rubenstein is fast-tracking a major big-budget remake of Day of the Dead in light of the recent success of his Dawn of the Dead remake.
Aintitcool.com picked up on the story first earlier this week, with a brief mention that Rubenstein was rushing the project into production.
Creature corner (www.creature-corner.com have also now reported the story on ther site.
No official confirmation or denial yet, but seeing as the Dawn remake exceeded expectations both commercially and artistically, don't bet against seeing a new bog-budget version of Day sometime soon.
More news as we get it.

Richard Rubenstein has a great track record in horror film producing. Working with George Romero on such films as Martin, Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead, he moved onto several Stephen King adaptations, including Pet Semetary and Thinner as well as several TV productions including the great The Stand and Dune
