Told in flashbacks, The Exorcism of Emily Rose charts the haunting trial of the priest accused of negligence resulting in the death of the young girl believed to be possessed. Inspired by true events, the film stars Laura Linney as the lawyer defending the priest (UK actor Tom Wilkinson, recently seen in Batman Begins) who performed the controversial exorcism.
The film (which has been called the first ever courtroom horror film) is released in US cinemas on September 9th, and hits UK cinemas on November 4th.
