First pictures of John Fawcett's The Dark

 "One of the living for one of the dead..."
Gorezone.net have just published the first six pictures (one of them is on the left) from John Ginger Snaps Fawcett's new upcoming British chiller, The Dark, starring Maria Bello, Sean Bean, Richard Elfyn and Sophie Stuckey.
Bello plays Adelle whose daughter Sarah drowns when they move to the Welsh countryside to be near Adelle's estranged husband (Sean Bean).
But, as ever in the world of horror films, the cliff-top farmhouse holds a terrifying secret linked to a religious cult led by The Shepherd. It's then that Adelle realises that she may still be able to rescue her daughter who is trapped in a distorted mirror image of the real world where your worst fears are made manifest...
The director appeared at last year's FrightFest in August to talk a bit about the film which had then just finished filming, and he claimed that "The Dark will do for sheep what Jaws did for sharks." Yeah, you know, those bloody deadly sheep with their fluffy wool and killer teeth...

The Dark is currently scheduled for an October 14 release in the UK. No US date has been set as yet.
