Darabont's un-Mist opportunity

 With the remake of Carpenter's The Fog heading our way soon, it seems an apt time for Frank Darabont to announce that he is finally getting underway with bringing Stephen King's novella / short story The Mist to the screen.
First published in King's collection of stories, Skeleton Crew, The Mist tells the story of a strange and deadly mist that takes over the small town of Bridgton, near Long Lake, on 17th July. Some survivors take shelter in a Federal market, but soon discover that the mist is not just mist - it's alive and after them. Stephen King specialist Frank Darabont (Shawshank, The Green Mile) has had the rights to adapt this story for a while now, but it looks like Darabont might finally be getting this film underway, with filming likely to begin in December.
