Lucy Liu back on the Rise

 Fangoria have revealed that Rise, the intriguing new supernatural feature from writer / director Sebastian (Gothika) Gutierrez and Ghost House Pictures has now finished shooting in LA, and they have also revealed more story details for the Lucy Liu and Marilyn Manson starring vampire flick.
The plot of the film follows reporter Sadie Blake (Liu) reluctantly joining the ranks of the undead after an unfortunate encounter with a cult of vampires. Obviously she is not happy with that, especially as she is unable to reverse her condition, so she decides to seek revenge on the blood-sucking undead by hunting down and destroying the cult members over the course of 48 hours
Just don't go expecting the vampires in Rise to be of your traditional black cape-type ever-lasting vampire - they are apparently closer to the humanlike vamps found in films such as Near Dark and The Hunger in an attempt to make the film more like a modern-day noir.
However, Gutierrez has also stated that Rise will be “very decadent and sexual.” Oh, that's allright then.
