McNaughton replaces Romero on the Masters of Horror

 Well, we knew that George Romero may well have to bail out of his proposed directing gig on Showtime's Masters of Horror due to scheduling problems, but it now looks like it has been officially confirmed, although the good news is that he is to be replaced by John McNaughton (whose seminal Henry will receive the deluxe DVD treatment with a two-disc set from Dark Sky Films on September 27 .
Fangoria have revealed that McNaughton has been signed to direct Haeckel's Tale, which series producer Mick Garris adapted from the Clive Barker story. Set in 1832, the segment has has been described as a “grotesque, erotic horror piece about making love with the dead.” Mmmmm - so nothing too controversial there then...
