Casting begins for Greg McLean's Rogue

 Australian movie website Moviehole have reported that casting has begun on Greg McLean’s follow-up to his hit film (in the UK at least) Wolf Creek.
His new film, Rogue will star John Jarratt (so good as killer Mick in Wolf Creek), Radha Mitchell and newcomer Sam Worthington. The film, apparently the first script Greg McLean ever wrote, is about an American journalist (thought to be Michael Vartan, although that is still to be confirmed) who encounters a huge flesh-eating crocodile in the Australian outback near Kakadu.
Rogue has a budget just over $20 million Australian and will be filmed in Victoria and the Northern Territories this coming November.
Greg McLean: “ It has been a 10-year journey trying to get this picture up so it's really like going back to a sort of dream project.”
It’s about time we had a good crocodile movie come our way (we’re not going to count Tobe Hooper’s effort here), and if this project is anything like as good as McLean’s debut we’ll be buying front row (well, more like middle row) tickets on the day it’s released. Just as long as Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin doesn’t get a look in that is.
