New eyes on The Hills Have Eyes

 If this film is going to be as blood-soaked as Alexandre Aja's debut film Switchblade Romance, then we're really looking forward to his forthcoming remake of Wes Craven's cult shocker The Hills Have Eyes.
And now finally, after a few weeks of production, we're getting our first look at the film, as a new unofficial website, www.eyesonthehills.com/ has gone live featuring a good number of on-set photos from the film, including the full-blown version of the one to the left.
As well as all the latest in Hills photos, there's also a blog from the film's associate producer, bios on Craven and Alex Aja and a message board.
The film stars Aaron Stanford, Vinessa Shaw, Kathleen Quinlan and Ted Levine. Aaron Stanford is perhaps best known as Pyro on X2 and plays Doug Wood, one of the members of the family who break down in the wilderness, while Vinessa (Melinda and Melinda) Shaw plays his wife, Lynne. Kathleen (Event Horizon) Quinlan is cast in the role of Ethel Carter with Ted (Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs) Levine as her husband, Big Bob Carter.

The Hills Have Eyes is being directed by Alex Aja (Switchblade Romance). When a family's trailer breaks down in the middle of the New Mexican desert, they soon find themselves preyed upon by a cannibalistic, feral group of people, victims of years of nuclear testing in the area....
Wes Craven is producing this time around with Marianne Maddalena and Peter Locke.
