First glimpse of An American Haunting

 In the wake of the recent US success of ‘based-on’true-story’ Emily Rose comes the new trailer and website for a similar-themed American period ghost story, An American Haunting.
This one seems to have a fair bit of weight to it though, with the casting of two legendary genre favourites, Sissy Spacek and Donald Sutherland as the mother and father of a family tormented for over three years by some very mischievous and naughty spirits.
Set for a January 1st 2006 US release, An American Haunting was written and directed by Courtney Solomon and also stars Rachel Hurd-Wood and James D’Arcy. See the trailer over at the official website.
Lots of dabs of The Exorcist, a dollop of Evil Dead in period costume, some zombies, spirits, wolves and a flipping horse cart. Looks mean’ n’moody… yeah, we like.
