The Russian horror epic film Night Watch was one of the biggest surprises of this year, and easily makes our Top Ten list of Films of 2005 so far. Blending vampire legend with with great special effects and a three-part story, the end of Night Watch left us drooling in anticipation of the second part of the trilogy, namely Day Watch which is to be released in Russian cinemas on January 1st 2006.
Now you can view the new Russian trailer (no English language unfortunately) for the sequel at the Official website and what a cool trailer it is too. Love the tracking shot as the guy jumps onto the subway train! And the dive through the advertising board!
Although not much is known about the sequel, Timur Bekmambetov's film stars Konstantin Khabensky, Aleksei Chadov, Yuri Kutsenko, Igor Lifanov, Sergei Lukyanenko, Rimma Markova, Vladimir Menshov and Mariya Poroshina.
No release dates have been announced as yet, apart from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Ukraine who will all get to see the film on January 1st 2006.
