One of our favourite films at FrightFest this year (well, one of the films that truly disturbed us and made our arms stand on end at least) was the Japanese film Marebito (see our Frightfest report on the film here).
Directed in eight days by Takashi Shimizu (of Ju-on and the American Grudge remake), Marebito follows Masuoka, a freelance TV cameraman who captures an appallingly gruesome suicide on video.
Masuoka becomes obsessed with the image and, desperate to confront this kind of fear himself, he begins to actively seek out confrontation and danger, taking him on a bizarre journey underground where he meets a chained woman called F.
Scheduled for a limited US release on December 9th, the new US poster has now appeared, and you can also view four clips at the official US website - www.marebitomovie.com/
you can also view the French and Taiwanese trailers over at Twitchfilm.
