Glorious trailer and poster for Luc Besson's Angel-A
3rd Dec 05
It's been far too long (since 1999's Jeanne d'Arc to be precise), but French cult legend Luc Besson has finally returned to the world of directing with his latest black and white project, Angel-A.
Billed as a comedy romance, Angel-A stars Jamel Debbouze, Rie Rasmussen, Gilbert Melki and Serge Riaboukine and is set to be released in France on 21st December, although the plot is still very much shrouded in secrecy.
However, you can't fail to be excited by the new poster, and the visually superb trailer that proves that Besson has lost none of his aesthetic cinematic flourishes.
Seriously, this looks stunning, and if there's as much substance as there is style, we could be in for a real treat here. Think Woody Allen's Manhatten meets Amelie, with lap-dancing scenes. Directed by Luc Fucking Besson. Yes!
