Blood and Gore in BloodRayne is the hardest R-rating possible apparently

 We've just received this interesting press release from the team behind Uwe Boll's latest video game adaptation BloodRayne. Read on...
"The horror audience will be very happy with the gore effects in BLOODRAYNE", says director/ producer Uwe Boll. He continues: "We tried to get the hardest R as possible, and to our surprise the MPAA approved it without any changes."
So the horror aficionados will see the gore feast they´re waiting for: German goremeister Olaf Ittenbach ("Beyond the limits") was
responsible for the blood´n´gore effects in BLOODRAYNE.
"It was the bloodiest movie I´ve ever made", explains Boll, "we´ve used hundreds of gallons of blood."
Hmmm. Wasn't Olaf Ittenbach the guy behind Premutos? That was pretty gory as I remember...

BLOODRAYNE will be released this Friday, January 6, in more than 2000 theatres in the US, and stars Kristanna Loken, Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Madsen and Ben Kingsley.
