Details of Halloween's Horrorthon Film Festival in Dublin

Now in its ninth year, the line-up is almost all in place for the Horrorthon Film Festival which takes place this year from Thursday 26th October through to Monday 30th October at the Irish Film Institute in Dublin, and thereís plenty of good stuff, both old and new, for horror fans to get stuck into.
Lamberto Bava will be in attendance to introduce his new film The Torturer and a special 35mm screening of his 1985 hit Demons and he will also take part in a public discussion conducted by Jay Slater on the Sunday morning.
There will be Irish premieres for some of the big hits of the recent FrightFest in London (The Host, The Lost, Frostbite and Panís Labyrinth), as well as screenings of some great new movies, such as Snuff Movie, Lie Still and slasher documentary Going to Pieces.
Retro screenings include Poltergeist, Friday the 13th Part 2, Pet Sematay and a new directorís cut of Darklands, along with an introduction by the man himself, Julian Richards. There will also be screenings of seven new Masters of Horror episodes from such directors as Dario Argento, John Carpenter, John Landis and Tobe Hooper.
