It was our favourite film of last year (see our Top Ten of 2006 here) – now Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth finally comes to DVD in the UK on March 12th thanks to Optimum Home Entertainment.
Fresh from its massive UK box office success, this enchanting yet dark fairytale can be seen as a companion piece to the haunting The Devil’s Backbone and is without a doubt del Toro’s most personal film yet. To celebrate the release of Pan’s Labyrinth, we are giving you the chance to win three Guillermo Del Toro DVD boxsets, which include the films, Pan’s Labyrinth, Cronos (93) and The Devil’s Backbone (01).
In addition, each winner will also receive a Pan’s Labyrinth poster signed by Guillermo Del Toro & a Pan’s Labyrinth soundtrack. Not bad eh?

More Information
Set during the end of the Spanish Civil War, Pan’s Labyrinth tells the story of Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) whose mother has recently remarried. Ofelia and her heavily pregnant mother move to the country and into the house of the new husband, coldly authoritarian Vidal (Sergi Lopez), a captain in Franco’s army.
Finding her new life hard to bear, the young girl seeks refuge in a mysterious labyrinth she discovers next to the sprawling family house. Pan, the guardian, a magical creature, reveals that she is none other than the long lost princess of a magical kingdom, and to discover the truth, Ofelia will have to accomplish three dangerous tasks, as well as risking incurring the wrath of her dangerously volatile stepfather.
