Exorcist: The Beginning trailer now online

 Well, it's been a long time coming, and two different directors have made two different versions of the film (see our earlier news for more details), but finally we have our first look at the theatrical release for Exorcist: The Beginning, which opens in the US on August 20th. The UK erlease is scheduled for October 29th (perfect Halloween fodder).
This is the Renny Harlin version of the prequel which was written by William Wisher and Caleb Carr. The film follows the story of Father Lankester Merrin (Stellan Skarsgård) back to his first encounter with the Devil in post-WWII Africa.
The rejected Paul Schrader version of the film is reportedly going to receive a DVD release at the same time as the Harlin theatrical version.
