Two girls, best friends, inseparable…
One of the biggest hits at London's Frightfest recently was Switchblade Romance (Haute Tension in its native France) and it's good news that the rest of the UK is going to get to see this great suspense thriller when it hits cinemas this Friday (24th September).
A close-knit family…
Made with great style by co-writer and director Alexandre Aja, Switchblade... focuses on two girls Marie (Cecile de France) and Alex (Maiwenn) as they try to evade a bloodthirsty killer who has already murdered Alex's family. It's a taut, tight exercise in sheer terror and definitely the must-see movie of this week, if not the month.
… A bloodthirsty killer on the prowl.
It's really no surprise that the makers of this film are currently working on a remake of The Hills have Eyes and after seeing what they achieve here, for once I'm looking forward to a horror film remake hitting our screens very soon.
When night falls, there is only one rule. Survival!
