Website goes live for Diamond Dead's stage version
23rd Sep 04
Ok, the film may be on hold whilst George Romero works on his new dead film Land of the Dead, but the stage version (by The Landless Theatre Company) of Diamond Dead takes it's first curtain on 30th September, and a website for the show has just gone live.
Head on over now to www.ddonstage.com for dates (only helpful if you're in the States during the next month) and pictures and bios of the cast.
There is also a hilarous feature on Christian Activist Scott Morrison of Scotland (who is currently trying to halt production on both the film and the stage show due to the script featuring a scene with Jesus smoking pot) and three mildly entertaining games. Here's hoping the stage show is as successful as composer Richard Hartley's other huge hit, The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Visit www.diamonddead.com for regular updates on the film's pre-production from producer Andrew Gaty.
Romero is still definitely interested in the undead rock band project and hopes to rejoin the production crew as soon as he's finished with Land of the Dead - possibly for a spring/summer shoot in 2005 in Europe.
