New poster for Night Watch

 A new poster has appeared for the upcoming first chapter in the new epic Russian horror trilogy, Night Watch. The trailer for the film (and indeed, the trailer for the second part, Day Watch - aka Night Watch 2, see news here) has been wowing people everywhere with it's incredible visuals and perfectly scored glimpses of the film, and has most certainly caused a huge buzz of anticipation amongst the horror community.
The film is being given a limited release in the US from July 29th with a wide release beginning on August 26th. We'll have to wait a little longer here in the UK, Night Watch is currently scheduled to hit British cinemas on October 7th 2005.
Set in contemporary Moscow, Night Watch revolves around the conflict and balance maintained by the forces of light and darkness - the result of a medievil truce between the opposing sides.
As night falls the dark forces battle the super-human "Others" of the Night Watch, whose mission is to patrol and protect. But there is constant fear that an ancient prophecy will come true, that a powerful "Other" will rise up, be tempted by one of the sides and tip the balance plunging the world into a renewed war betweent the dark and the light, the result which would be catastrophic.
