Full programme now confirmed for FrightFest 2005

21st Jul 05

Full programme now confirmed for FrightFest 2005 The news of this year's August bank holiday FrightFest line-up leaked out late last week, but it has now been confirmed on the official FrightFest website, along with a full schedule and list of film times.

The event now kicks off at the incredibly early time of 11.15am on the Friday with a whole day devoted to the horror legend that is George A. Romero, with all three screenings of his previous 'Dead' films, followed by a 'Display of the Dead' by special make-up artist Greg Nicotero before the showing of our opening film Land of the Dead.

The closing film is now confirmed as Wolf Creek (see our review here) with director Greg McLean in attendance and other guests confirmed so far are Ti West for The Roost, Christian Alvart for Antibodies, Paul Spurrier for P, Craig Strachan and the cast of Wild Country. Jake West and his cast will also be present for the midnight screening of Evil Aliens.

Also, because this year the event is moving to it's new venue the Odeon West End, there will also be a host of events happening in the cinema foyer. From Atari there will be four games consoles running Fahrenheit, which is not due in the shops until October, whilst Audilbe.Com will be hosting a booth in the bar to demonstrate the latest technology for downloadable books.

Frightfest also has exclusive use of the bar where all can meet and share views to the new FrightFest quiz, the launch of the FrightFest Presents DVD label and of course all the weekend's films.
