Double the sin for the Sin City double DVD

 Those of you are thinking of buying the Sin City vanilla DVD when it is released on Region 2 later this month (26th Sep) might want to hold your horses before you rush out to get your home entertainment fix of Marv, Hartigan, Nancy, Dwight, Yellow Bastard, Kevin and the rest of the Sin City gang.
Buena Vista have now announced the details of their extended Sin City: Recut & Extended Edition which will be released on December 13th on Region 1 (expect the Region 2 version to be available in the New Year).
The DVD package will be a two-disc affair, including the uncut and extended version (147 mins), which can also be separated into the four separate stories. The theatrical version of the film will also be included with three separate commentaries; one with directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller, one with the directors Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino and bizarrely a commentary of the ‘Austin Premiere alongside audience reaction.
There will also be a whole raft of exclusive Never-Before-Seen Extras;

* How It Went Down: Convincing Frank Miller to make the film
* Giving the Characters Life: Casting the film
* Special Guest Director: Quentin Tarantino
* Sin-Chroni-City Interactive Game
And that’s not all - rounding out the package will be a complete special edition printing of original Sin City graphic novel "The Hard Goodbye." Retail will be $39.99 and the film will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic with Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS Surround tracks.
