Jodie Foster to star in Disney's Flight Plan

 Not strictly cult, or horror, or even independent news, but Eatmybrains has had a thing for Jodie Foster ever since she starred in The Silence of the Lambs, so we're going to report this anyway.
Variety have revealed that Jodie Foster (Panic Room) has signed up to Disney's Flight Plan, to be directed by Robert Schwentke based on a pitch by Robert Downing. The story deals with a woman who is returning home with her daughter after the death of her husband. While on the flight, though, the daughter mysterious disappears.
Interesting concept. The rewrites have been penned by Terry Hayes and Billy Ray (writer-director of Shattered Glass) and the film is due to commence at the end of August.
