Evil Dead - Cranky Pants?!?

 Boomstick was easily one of my favourite PS2 titles last year, since it just wreaked of Evil Dead. Many film to video game conversions are good, some exceptional, but how many of them play just like the film they're based on? Unlike many of it's contemporaries, Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick was a true labour of love, and I wore a smile from ear to ear while playing it through. Twice.
But word is that it's coming back, early next year. The horror-zombie genre is already much in vogue this year, with the remake of Dawn of the Dead and the equally excellent Shaun of The Dead having done good business at the UK box office. But news now reaches us of a new Evil Dead game, confirmed by actor Bruce Campbell in a recent interview with movie site aintitcoolnews.
Campbell, who played idiot-with-a-chainsaw Ash in the gut-busting horror trilogy and last year's PS2 incarnation, inadvertently spilled the beans when talking about the possibility of new Evil Dead movies.
Campbell said: "We've got these Evil Dead games coming out left and right. The new one's coming out next year, next Spring. I did the voice for it for Cranky Pants."
So, that's straight from the horses mouth. More news as it develops.
