Winners of our World War Z competition 18th Oct 06
A big zombie thanks to the many people who entered our recent competition to win one of three copies of Max Brooks' fantastic post-apocalyptic zombie novel, World War Z, which went on sale last month courtesy of Duckworth Publishing.
Of course, the answer to the question we posed was that it is Brad Pitt's production company that has won the film rights to the novel, which will have any sane dead-head out there salivating at the prospect of seeing this great story reach the silver screen.
Well we've now drawn the three winners, who are;
Kevin Gates
Floyd Mills
Danny Blackwell
Congratulations to all three of you. We will be in touch shortly to find out your postal addresses and to see if you'd be prepared to wait a couple of more weeks for a copy signed by Max Brooks himself.
Remember, you can catch up with Max Brooks himself at his Zombie festival which hits the Barbican in London next month (see here for full details), with the screening of five classic zombie movies, including two of our favourites, Wild Zero and Versus.
And, if you're around Forbidden Planet or the Barbican on November 18th, you may well bump into the EMB team dressed up as zombies as we will hopefully be helping out with a bit of undead publicity for the day. If you too want to be a zombie for a day, email us through our contact page, and we'll put you in touch with the organisers.
If you didn't win this time, you might want to enter our great new competition to win The Hammer collection, a terrific 21-film box-set of most of Hammer Horror's greatest hits, courtesy of Optimum Releasing. And seeing as this gorgeous DVD set retails at £150, you might well agree that this is certainly one competition worth winning!
Click here for our competition page (comp ends on Tuesday 23rd October).
