Zone Horror salutes the legendary exploitation films of the 1970s with Grindhouse 2000, a season showcasing the genre's modern day successors.
Typically low budget, excessively violent and sensationally sleazy, the original films were the favoured fare of low-rent cinemas, known as grindhouses.
Grindhouse has influenced a new generation of film makers, most notably Quentin Tarantino who releases his hotly anticipated collaboration with Robert Rodriquez, Grindhouse 2007, in April.
