The Devil's Rejects casting news

 Here's the first ever image from The Devil's Rejects, the sequel to Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses. It's a shot of Leslie Easterbrook as the new Mother Firefly, replacing Karen Black who has backed out of the sequel after contract negotiations failed to resolve. Director Rob Zombie said of the actress, "Leslie has really grabbed onto the role and taken it to the next level. Leslie has come into a tough situation. Replacing another actor is a difficult thing to do, but Leslie has really stepped up and begun to kick some serious ass! The cast and I are thrilled to be working with her".
Zombie went on to say, "In other news: filming has officially started. The first segent filmed was a local Ruggville talk show known as THE MORRIS GREEN SHOW. Morris Green is played by none other than mega-horror fan Daniel ( River's Edge, US Marshalls, Bubba Ho-Tep, Agent Cody Banks) Roebuck and his guest on the show is a so called expert on satanic cult related crimes Dr. Robert Bankhead played by Duane ( From Dusk Til Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money,Pulp Fiction, Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3), Whitaker. These guys were absolutely brilliant together."
Apparently, a segment of The Morris Green Show will be seen in the film, but the entire episode will be available on the DVD.
More Information
The much talked about unrated version of House of 1000 Corpses has still yet to surface on DVD. Lions Gate Films are staying remarkably quiet about it. Watch this space for news on that issue...
