Prey gets Stateside DVD release date set for 30th January

In the wild, man is the endangered species... a harrowing truth discovered during a thrill-seeking family vacation on an African game reserve in Prey, arriving on DVD January 30, from Genius Products, LLC. From Oscar®-nominated Sth African director Darrell James Roodt (Best Foreign Language Film, Yesterday, 2005), Prey features a hot cast of up-and-comers including Bridget Moynahan (Lord Of War), Carly Schroeder (Firewall), as well as the venerable and versatile Peter Weller (Robocop).
Lost and unprepared to deal with nature untamed, the hapless Newman clan finds themselves pursued by a savage pride of hungry lions and fighting for survival. Based on terrifying true events, Prey is an atmospheric and nail-biting horror/thriller that critics are calling “Jaws in the African bush.”

Synopsis
Tom Newman (Peter Weller) can’t join his family on their first African adventure vacation due to urgent business obligations, but hopes the trip will provide a chance for his son and daughter to bond with his new young wife, Amy (Bridget Moynahan).
Their ranger, Brian, decides to add some extra thrills and adventure to their trip and takes them “off roading.” All is well until Amy and the two kids become lost in a labyrinthine game reserve and begin to be stalked by savage lions who won’t quit until they have dinner.
